Sale again next fall


A big thank you to all that attended. It was nice to see old friends and make new ones. It's always interesting to see what sell and who buys. Some paintings of Mexico were sold along with one of English bay. All was well.

Up close plate


This is one of my underglaze tests that shows the iron black stains working well with the clear glaze. So tough to get the basic clear to be fault free. Here I am almost there. The adjustment will be small. Next firing is always going to be better. Can't wait.

Day two of the KLASS workshop

Studio workshop in painting with acrylics

Starting May 10 and 12 and May 24 and 26 also June 14 - 16 and 21 -23, for all levels. Beginners are most welcome. Supplies are available and help and instruction will be available. Bring yourself and join our group. We have a fun time painting Monday and Wednesdays from 2:00-4:00. A drop in fee of $15.00 for each day is collected to cover materials and some supplies.

If you like to work in clay we have a raku workshop in June just for you. Raku is fun and a fast firing technique. In a three day workshop you will complete a few pieces. If not clay we have a acrylic painting and a watercolour workshop also planned.

New Season at Ayhus arts Starts April 15 2010

A new season of artistic pursuits in planned for the spring and summer, A number of workshops in raku, water colour painting and stoneware are planned. The first week of June see's the students of Keith Lynn Alternate returning for another week filled workshop followed shortly after by a hands on Raku for "On Islanders" a painting workshop is also planned later in the month.
